A fantasy that's sure to make kids laugh!
First children's stories about the fuzzy little animal Cheburashka and his older friend Crocodile Gena were written by Russia's Eduard Uspensky in the 1960s. Since that time several generations of children have fallen in love with the characters which inspired the well-known Russian cartoon series, toys, etc.
Crocodile Gena, who works a day shift in a Zoo as... a crocodile, is a loyal friend to Cheburashka, a cuddly creature with floppy ears "completely unknown to science". The two meet a little girl who joins them in many adventures.
The three characters, which embody goodness and kindness, are in the center of these delightful read-aloud fantasy stories. They are rescuing a dog, finding a pal for a boy who plays only with bullies, and build a House of Friendship where everyone can play.
This book contains all 27 original stories that have been written about Cheburashka and Crocodile Gena, and a few extra recent stories about these popular characters.
