This large format book has lots of bilingual pages - with its text displayed in Russian and English side by side. However, you or your child would have to be able to read in these languages (no pronunciation is shown). It's intended to be used as a read-along book since the book comes with a CD so you can hear all the phrases and songs when you put the CD on!
The book starts with the little girl Masha introducing herself, her family, her cat Pushok and her dog Zhuchka. Then, she'll take you to her house so you will peek into her room and see what Masha eats for breakfast. On the following pages you will learn what Masha and her friends do when they come back home from school, and so much more.
There will be all kinds of songs in-between: from "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Twinkle, Twinkle" to popular Russian ones "Two Happy Geese" (Dva Vesyolykh Gusya) and "Sleep, My Joy, Fall Asleep" (Spi, Moya Radost', Usni).
On the CD you can hear native Russian and English language speakers speak and sing - just like the book's characters do it!
