This is a touching tale about the baby boy who was found in the woods and later raised by a poor man and his family. The boy grows up as a beautiful child, who, however, seems to have no heart. He is ruthless to animals. He doesn't feel any pity or compassion for people around him.
One day a woman looking like a beggar approaches him and tells him that she is his mother who was desperately searching for him for a long, long time. He laughs at her and makes her leave... That day his face turns ugly. He now has to beg for forgiveness so goes to find the woman he turned away - his mother who loved him so dearly...
This heart-breaking fable written by Oscar Wilde is brilliantly translated into the Russian language. It's read on this CD by an award-winning Russian actor Georgiy Taratorkin.
