This is a wonderfully illustrated Russian language edition of the second volume of A.A. Milne's stories of Winnie-the-Pooh. It actually contains only three chapters of the book called "House at Pooh Corner", as named below:
- A House Is Built At Pooh Corner For Eeyore
- Tigger Comes to the Forest and Has Breakfast
- A Search is Organized, and Piglet Nearly Meets the Heffalump Again.
This is the book where the character of Tigger is introduced (Russians, by the way, call him "Tigra") and where an elephant-like creature, Heffalump (named "Slonopotam" in Russian translation), appears again.
This large format book has charming color pictures, some of which are page size. And Winnie looks cuter than ever! The illustrator is Evgeniy Antonenkov, one of the best Russian graphic artists. The author of this translation is Boris Zakhoder who is known as the best Russian interpreter of "Winnie-the-Pooh" stories.
Publisher: Ast, Russia. Hardcover. 80 pages.
In Russian language. Reading level: ages 8 - 10 and up, up, up.
Much younger listeners will certainly enjoy the stories if they are read to them aloud.
