This is an old Russian folk tale a version of which is known in America as "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".
In this Russian tale, however - being retold by the Russian classical writer Leo Tolstoy - the bears have authentic Russian names. The older one is called Mikhaila Ivanych. The mother bear is named Nastasya Petrovna, and their little son is called simply Mishutka.
The little girl, as you know, comes into their house uninvited, and that's where the tale begins...
