When parents leave home for market, they ask their older daughter to look after her baby brother. But she runs off to play with her friends and leaves the baby brother alone on the grass. The mean wild geese come down, at Baba Yaga's order, and carry her brother away.
When the girl found her brother is gone, she runs to search for him. On her way she helps a fish laying on the bank, gasping for water, and saves a squirrel caught in a trap... The grateful animals help her in return... The two siblings are eventually reunited and run away, but they are followed by the wild geese...
