Nu, pogodi! (I'll Get You) is an animated cartoon series originally produced at the Soyuzmultfilm studio in Moscow between 1969 and 1986.

The plot of the series follows the mischievous and artistic Wolf trying to catch the Bunny Rabbit, presumably with the intention to eat him. Wolf is portrayed as a typical hooligan: a heavy smoker, he offends minors and breaks the law. All Wolf's schemes, however, eventually fail or turn against him.

The Bunny Rabbit is portrayed as a positive hero. Most of his actions are reactions to Wolf schemes (running away and hiding, etc).

The story also features a supporting cast of animal characters, one of which is a physically strong Hippopotamus, who participates in various roles (policeman, museum caretaker, shopkeeper, passer-by, etc), and whom Wolf usually annoys and has to run away from. Many episodes feature friendly bears in various supporting roles.

The plot of the series is somewhat similar to the American cartoons "The Road Runner" and "Tom and Jerry". The director has admitted that he was learning from American animated films which were brought into the USSR from Germany after World War II.

There are very few spoken lines in the series (the most common is the Wolf saying "Nu pogodi" (I'll get you) at the Bunny after he fails to catch him yet again), but it features many grunts, laughs and songs, too.

All 18 Episodes. In Russian language. Format: DVD (NTSC).

Plays on any standard American DVD player.
